Bluish Yucca from Mexico, hardy to -18°C and extremely drought-resistant

Yucca filifera 'Australis' is a truly tough yucca species originally from the dry and warm landscapes of central Mexico. The species was discovered in 1840 in northeastern Mexico between Saltillo and Parras.

The plant has developed its bluish color to reflect some of the hot sunlight in its dry desert environment. It has become very popular in gardens due to its hardiness, drought tolerance, beautiful appearance, and overall easy care.

Care

Hardy to approximately -15 to -18°C. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Very drought-tolerant once established. Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry between waterings.

Fertilize sparingly during the growing season. Requires minimal care once established. Can be grown both in open ground in milder climates and in pots. Buy Yucca filifera online!
