Treat thrips and other pests easily with our subscriptions for beneficial insects! Beneficial organisms such as predatory mites are highly effective at preventing thrips and spider mites, two common and often devastating pests on our indoor houseplants.

Our supplier, Biobasiq, ships fresh beneficial insects every Monday. Place your order no later than 12:00 PM on Sunday to have them shipped the following Monday. If your order is placed after Sunday, it will be shipped the following Monday. The beneficial insects are delivered to your mailbox; please keep this in mind when ordering during winter if your mailbox is located outdoors. When temperatures drop at the beginning of November, orders are sent to a PostNord collection point instead of the mailbox.

What does the subscription involve?

By choosing a subscription, you will receive beneficial insects at home once a month. Your first beneficial insects will be shipped the following week if the order is placed by Sunday evening. Subsequent batches of sachets will arrive 4 weeks later. 

Prevent instead of treat

Just as with infections in humans, it is, as a rule, more effective and easier to prevent instead of treat. Using beneficial insects can be likened to using a vaccine. Outbreaks can certainly still occur, but in most cases, they will be milder and resolve without major damage or effort. Even though there is a cost to prevention, the price should be weighed against discarded plants and the time spent mixing soapy water.
