Capillary mat for sub-irrigation
Our grow mat is made entirely from recycled textiles and makes watering your houseplants easier than ever. This sub-irrigation mat is sold per meter and can be easily cut to fit any surface.
We use this capillary mat for all our plants in the store because it makes watering much easier. The technique of watering from below means that the plants themselves absorb the amount of water they need through capillary action.
The roots at the bottom of the pot often grow into the fabric itself, creating a natural extension of the pot. Keeping the mat moist increases the humidity around the plants, which is especially valuable for tropical plants such as alocasia, philodendron, anthurium and monstera.
The mat works by placing it under the pots and then keeping it moist. The plants absorb water through the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot, providing even and controlled watering.
Advantages:
- Easier watering of many plants at the same time
- Even humidity without risk of overwatering
- Increased humidity around the plants
- The roots can grow into the textile
- Eco-friendly recycled textile
Specifications:
- Material: 100% recycled textile
- Weight: 300g/m²
- Sold per meter
- Can be cut as needed
