Small bags with thrips predatory mites, Amblyseius cucumeris, which are used preventively against thrips or in case of incipient infestation.
To get a good effect, it is good to hang the bags early
If the mites do not find thrips, they can also survive on, for example, other mites and pollen.
The thrips predatory mites are effective on light-colored thrips, but work less well against dark, tropical thrips species often seen in tropical houseplants.
Please note that the thrips predatory mites mainly take larvae of thrips, the adults are therefore not affected. If you have an established infestation of thrips, it is better to use Orius beetles.
Instructions for use
The bags are hung in the plants, on side branches or leaf stems. For the next 4-6 weeks, thrips predatory mites will make their way out of the bag and up onto the plant daily to search for thrips.
Note that the bag already has pre-punched holes, so it does not need to be opened further.
Avoid the bag coming into contact with the soil and hang it protected from direct sunlight.
The predatory mites should be put out immediately after receipt, but can be stored for a couple of days at 8-10 degrees.

The beneficial animals always arrive in a good shape. I have been ordering them for many months and effectively prevented any pest manifestations. If you have a lot of plants, the subscription is a great way to make sure they stay pest free and you can avoid unnecessary stress of thrips or mites spreading over your plant collection. I recommend!
