Syngonium albo variegata, a variegated twist on goosefoot.
This classic albo 'Variegata' form has white variegated leaves with large, irregular white areas and small white spots. The pattern can vary greatly, some leaves are almost completely green, while others can be completely white. A very beautiful and sought-after variegated houseplant!
Care.
It is an extremely hardy plant and therefore an easy-care houseplant. Syngonium albo variegata thrives best in partial shade to shade and wants to be kept evenly moist and warm. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as the leaves can easily burn and the beautiful color pattern will not develop as well. Regular fertilization is recommended; a regular potting soil works great. Plant in a transparent pot to keep an eye on the health of the roots.
Botanical description.
Syngonium podophyllum originates from South and Central America but has now been introduced to tropical parts of Asia and Africa. The white variegation is the result of a rare mutation , the white parts lack chlorophyll which usually gives the green color.

Appearance.
As a young plant, the goosefoot grows compact and bushy, but sends out leafless shoots, much like strawberry plants. When it reaches a certain size, it begins to climb, and the leaf shape changes to a more lobed structure. The species name, “podophyllum”, means “foot leaf” and refers to the shape of the adult leaves. The Swedish name 'gåsfot' is also derived from its appearance. Buy Syngonium albo variegata online!
