Incredibly colorful cream variegation
Stromanthe sanguinea is one of the larger members of the maranta family and can grow to about 80 cm tall. Large parts of the leaves are white, with some stripes in light green and others in dark green. New leaves often have a faint pink hue on the white sections.
Botanical description
Stromanthe thalia, also known by the synonym Stromanthe sanguinea and 'broktoppar' (variegated tops), originates from the coastal region of Brazil. It grows in the shady undergrowth of subtropical forests. 'Triostar' is a cultivated variety with variegated colorful leaves.

Appearance.
Its long, glossy leaves shimmer in shades of green, white, pink, and red. The irregular color pattern on the leaf surface gives the impression that someone has splashed paint on the plant. The dense, decorative leaves can grow up to 50 cm long and create a vibrant impression as an ornamental plant. Buy Stromanthe sanguinea 'Triostar' online!
Care
Stromanthe sanguinea 'Triostar' thrives best under mild conditions, just enough of everything. They prefer bright but absolutely no direct sunlight. Normal room temperature is good, and they prefer an airy soil mix that is kept slightly moist, but never wet.
Stromanthe thalia is one of the easier species within Marantaceae to keep as a houseplant. It is not particularly sensitive to hard water or dry air, but in a very dry environment, the leaves may develop dry edges. Place the pot on a saucer with pebbles and water to increase the humidity around the plant.
