Groundcover Peperomia that occurs only in Ecuador
Peperomia prostrata, also known as string of turtles , is a small tropical plant from Ecuador. The plant's compact size and creeping habit make it perfect as a ground cover in very small terrariums and bottle gardens where space is limited. It grows both on the ground and as an epiphyte on trees, branches and larger leaves. It is also non-toxic to pets!
Botanical description
Peperomia prostrata belongs to the Piperaceae (pepper family) and is a small-growing, creeping species that spreads horizontally rather than upwards. In its natural habitat, it colonizes almost any moist surface thanks to its ability to grow both on the ground and epiphytically.

Care
Peperomia prostrata is one of the easiest houseplants to care for, but it still thrives best in shady environments with high humidity. To mimic its natural habitat, it can be grown as a hanging plant, hanging pot or as a ground cover in a terrarium.
For Peperomia it is The best planting soil is a well-drained,peat-free soil. It prefers to dry out partially or completely between waterings. A common mistake is to overwater the plant, which can quickly lead to root rot. Buy peperomia prostrata online!

Växten var fint ihoprullad, så det blev bara minimala fraktskador. Är jättepigg nu. Väldigt vacker, och svår att hitta vanliga affärer
