A cool succulent with fat buds and a hanging growth habit.
'Monkey's tail' as it is sometimes called in Swedish can be mistaken for the cactus plant Hildewintera colademononis. However, Sedum morganium is not a cactus but actually a succulent.
However, with a little imagination, the plant can resemble a monkey's tail because the fat clusters hang in a very peculiar way. This makes the plant excellent as an easy-care hanging plant, and it can also withstand both sun and drought.
Care.
Burro's Tail does not require much care and can be left alone. They are patient plants. You do not need to be very regular with watering or take special care with fertilizing them. Just make sure to underwater rather than overwater. Let the soil dry out.
The only time you need to be careful is when handling the Sedum plant. Due to its delicate leaves, stems and leaves can easily fall off or break due to the smooth, thick texture. When you get your Sedum succulent, make sure to hang it in a spot where it gets maximum sunlight, and then you can literally forget about it!
To flower, the Sedum morganium succulent needs the right temperature. Also make sure the plants are kept dry and cool during the winter months.
Botanical description.
Sedum morganium is the species name while the variety we sell here is a cultivar called 'Burrito' & 'Burro's Tail'. The species comes from Mexico and grows in dry tropical areas.
Appearance.
Sedum Burro's Tail blooms with small, star-shaped flowers that are gathered in clusters at the ends of the stems. Because they contrast with the blue-green foliage, they look very impressive. The leaves are small, fat buds that are burgundy green and very sensitive to the touch. Are you looking for a cheap and easy-care but at the same time unique plant? Buy Sedum morganium online!
