An incredibly beautiful plant that climbs flat against the ground

When young, Rhaphidophora tenuis grows with its leaves angled upwards towards the substrate. As an adult, the leaves completely change shape and only then does the plant resemble a typical Rhaphidophora with lobed leaves. As a potted plant indoors, it is very easy to care for as long as it is allowed to grow on a good plant support such as a moss stake.

Botanical description.

This species is native to northwestern Borneo. It is a climbing plant and grows primarily in humid, tropical environments. It was described in 1881

Rhaphidophora tenuis needs a plant support to reach its adult form. Therefore, we recommend extending the plant support if necessary.
