Very easy to grow Physalis that produces edible small fruits
The Physalis plant produces abundant small fruits that are slightly smaller than those from the store. The plant grows quickly, is very easy to care for and grows to about 1m tall.
Botanical description.
The species Physalis pruinosa comes from Mexico down to Bolivia. It normally grows creeping in the tropical dry biome. Physalis belongs to the potato family and therefore shares its appearance with, for example, tomatoes.
Care.
The plant blooms from early spring to late summer. Growing Physalis is not very different from, for example, tomatoes. We recommend growing Physalis either in a pot in a greenhouse or in the ground outdoors. Fertilize with tomato nutrition during the summer. The plant is bushy and often does not need support. Ripe fruits have a beige-colored skin while unripe ones have a green skin. Buy Physalis plant online!
