Philodendron Painted Lady is a hybrid plant of two varieties, namely P. Erubescens Emerald Queen and P. Erubescens Brugundy
Philodendron 'Painted Lady' is particularly prized for its decorative leaves with vibrant color variations and robust growth.
Care: Well-drained soil, preferably a mix for aroid plants with bark, perlite and sphagnum moss such as our aroid soil . Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. It is sensitive to overwatering but appreciates high humidity.
Botanical Description
Scientific name: Philodendron 'Painted Lady'
Origin: The origin of this hybrid is not natural but a creation of plant breeders
Leaves: Heart-shaped to oblong with a pointed end, young leaves are pale yellow with dark green spots and turn to lime green with age. The leaves have a glossy surface and are slightly textured. The leaves are usually 15-25 cm long and 10-15 cm wide.
Habit: Climbing or trailing, with long, strong stems. The roots are epiphytic, which means they naturally grow on other plants without parasitizing them.
Propagation: Cuttings from stems are most common. Cuttings should have at least a couple of leaves and a node for best rooting. Can be rooted in water, sphagnum moss or directly in soil.
Philodendron 'Painted Lady' is relatively easy to care for and adapts well to different indoor conditions. Its unique leaf color that changes with age and its climbing nature can be used to create vertical greenery in the home. Philodendron 'Painted Lady' is also known for its fast growth, making it perfect for those who want to see quick results in their plant care. Order Philodendron 'Painted Lady' online!
