The leaves of Philodendron 'El choco red' are large, heart-shaped and dark green on the upper side, while the underside is a striking red. The leaves have a smooth, velvety surface
It is a climbing plant that supports itself on trees and other structures in its natural habitat. When grown indoors, it can be supported with a moss stake to encourage vertical growth. Without support, it tends to spread and become drooping.

Philodendron rubrijuvenile originates from Colombia. Rubri = red and juvenile = young, which refers to the red color of the young leaves.

Care
Thrives in indirect light and we recommend growing in an airy soil mixture, such as our peat-free aroid soil . Keep the soil evenly moist but not wet.
