Rare variegated Burle Marx with glossy leaves in green, white, and yellow, easy to care for and fast-growing
Philodendron 'Burle Marx Variegata' is an impressive and rare plant with beautiful variegated leaves that contain a perfect mix of green, white, and yellow. This variety is named after the landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx and is one of over 50 plants that bear his name.
This aroid can climb and has heart-shaped leaves that are glossy and can grow up to 30-40 centimeters long and 20-25 centimeters wide. It is incredibly easy to care for and grows rapidly; despite its rarity, it is one of the more rewarding variegated philodendrons.
Care
Use well-draining soil, preferably an aroid mix with bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss. Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade and even direct sun. A bright location is especially important for this variegated form because the white and yellow parts contain less chlorophyll. Let the soil dry out slightly between waterings.
It grows climbing or trailing, with long, strong stems. The roots are epiphytic, meaning they naturally grow on other plants without parasitizing them. We recommend letting it climb on a plant support.
Ideal temperature 18-26 degrees Celsius. Fertilize monthly during the growing season.
Propagation: Stem cuttings are most common. Cuttings should have a node and can be rooted in water or sphagnum moss. Buy Philodendron 'Burle Marx Variegata' online!
