Colorful orchid hybrid with bright yellow flowers covered with dark red patterns on tall branched stems
Oncostele Wildcat 'Bobcat' (formerly Colmanara) is the result of a cross between Oncidium, Odontoglossum, and Miltonia. This is a medium-sized, epiphytic orchid with strap-shaped, 30 to 40 centimeter long, evergreen leaves.
New growth emerges from the swollen stem base (pseudobulb), a storage organ for water and nutrients. The pseudobulbs are oval, slightly flattened at the top, and partially covered by two pairs of green leaf sheaths. New flower stalks rise from young, mature pseudobulbs and can grow up to 75 centimeters long, upright and branched with many flowers. Each flower is 3 to 4 centimeters in size, bright yellow, and heavily covered with a dark red pattern. Larger plants often bear two or more inflorescences.
Care
Thrives in bright, indirect light without direct sun. Water when the substrate has almost dried out between waterings. Use airy orchid potting mix with good drainage. Fertilize with orchid fertilizer during the growing season.
Ideal temperature 18-26 degrees Celsius. Maintain high humidity for best well-being and flowering.
