Dark Purple Pitchers from the Philippine Highlands, Adaptable Beginner Hybrid
Nepenthes × 'Rebecca Soper' is a medium-sized, robust carnivorous pitcher plant with deep purple-dark pitchers and a red-speckled interior. This hybrid between N. ventricosa and N. gracillima originates from the Philippine Highlands and bears brownish-red, sometimes mottled pitchers up to 15 centimeters long, which develop from the tips of the green and white-speckled leaves.

The plant is remarkably adaptable, heat and cold tolerant, and thrives excellently in a regular window. It is particularly good at catching large insects such as wasps. An excellent houseplant that can be grown outdoors during warm months with minimal transition period and one of the best choices for beginners in Nepenthes cultivation.
Care
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Always keep moist with distilled or rainwater. Substrate of sphagnum and perlite. Humidity 60-80%. Ideal temperature 18-28 degrees Celsius with a night drop. Tolerates both heat and cooler temperatures better than most Nepenthes.
