Philippine Hoya with creamy white, green-edged leaves and pink new growth, blooms almost year-round
Hoya wayetii 'Tricolor' is a variegated form of a wax plant from the Philippines that was described as recently as 1993. The leaves are elongated and pointed, approximately 12 centimeters long and 1.5 centimeters wide, thick and glossy with a slightly downturned edge. The variegation consists of a creamy white center surrounded by green, and new leaves emerge in a light pink tone that then fades. In good light, the leaf edges often take on a reddish tinge as well.

The species blooms almost year-round with clusters of small, waxy flowers in shades of purple to deep reddish-purple. Each flower lasts for about three days. Do not cut off the flower stalks after blooming, as the plant forms new flowers from the same stalk time and again.
Botanical description
Hoya wayetii is very similar to Hoya kentiana, and some authors treat the two as synonyms because the differences are minimal. It is also sometimes confused with Hoya shepherdii. The species is placed in the section Otostemma.
