Myrväxande hoya med kupade, silverstänkta blad
Hoya mitrata 'Silver' är en mycket ovanlig och eftertraktad form av Hoya mitrata, en art som beskrevs 1940 och som förekommer i bland annat Thailand, Sumatra och på Nya Guinea. Den är släkt med Hoya darwinii men är något lättare att odla.
Bladen varierar mycket i storlek och har rikligt med silverstänk och fläckar. I naturen lever arten i symbios med myror och bildar stora, kupade blad som skapar hålrum där myrorna bor. Blommorna är drygt 2,5 centimeter långa och omkring 1,3 centimeter breda och har nästan ingen doft.
Skötsel
Trivs i ljust, indirekt ljus eller växtbelysning. Använd en mycket luftig blandning, gärna med orkidébark och sphagnum, och låt den torka upp något mellan vattningarna.
Uppskattar hög luftfuktighet men brukar acklimatisera sig till vanlig rumsmiljö. Idealtemperatur 20-28 grader. Köp Hoya mitrata 'Silver' online!
