Hoya globulosa is the plant's scientifically accepted name . Hoya villosa is, however, a common synonym for the species. This porcelain flower has its natural range from the Himalayas to China (Yunnan to Guangdong) and Indochina. It is a climbing epiphyte (grows on plants) or lithophyte (grows on rocks) and grows mainly in the humid tropical zone.
