This Hoya gets its unique name from its "crassipetiolata" (thick leaf stalks)
The leaves of this porcelain flower are dark green, oval and have a waxy, fleshy texture, making them very hardy and decorative. When the leaves receive enough light, they can develop subtle red tones at the edges.
The flowers are small, star-shaped and clustered. They are white or pale yellow with a slight pink or reddish center and have a subtle, pleasant scent. They often bloom on old inflorescences, so leave them on the plant for continuous flowering.
Botanical description.
Origin: Vietnam
Scientific name: Hoya Crassipetiolata

Care
Hoya thrives best in bright, indirect light. However, it can tolerate some direct morning sun, which helps the leaves to get beautiful color changes. During the winter months, it thrives in a sunny window in our latitudes. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Hoya crassipetiolata is tolerant of some drought thanks to its fleshy leaves. A well-drained mixture, such as our aroid & orchid soil, is ideal.
Given the right conditions, Hoya crassipetiolata can quickly fill trellises or hanging baskets with its beautiful leaves. The flowers can last for several weeks, making it a favorite among hoya enthusiasts. The unusual combination of thick petioles and beautiful flowers makes it highly sought after.
