Originating in Madagascar, the D. lutescens has become a beloved indoor plant worldwide.

This multi-branched palm grows with slender, graceful trunks resembling bamboo and is covered in pale yellow to golden leaf axils, which is where it gets its name. The arched leaves, which are dark green and feathery, can grow up to 2 metres long. Its lush foliage creates a soft, tropical feel.

The Dypsis lutescens can reach a height of up to 3 meters as an indoor plant, but is relatively slow growing. It thrives in indirect light or partial shade and prefers evenly moist soil, but without standing in water. A good soil for the golden palm is our peat-free soil .
