Beneficial insects such as predatory mites ( Montdorensis and californicus in this case) are very effective at preventing thrips and spider mites. Spider mites: One of the most common pests on indoor plants. They weave fine little webs between leaves and branches. Spider mites cause yellow leaves that then fall off the houseplant. The same principle applies here, Californicus predatory mites seek out and kill spider mites.
