Popular Epidendrum Hybrid That Blooms Often and Profusely
Epidendrum 'Ballerina' is a hybrid orchid within the Epidendrum genus, belonging to the "reed-stem" group, characterized by long, reed-like stems. Although its exact origin and parent species are not fully documented, the hybrid is believed to have connections to the Epidendrum radicans complex based on its growth habit and floral characteristics.
The Epidendrum genus is one of the largest within the orchid family, with over 1000 species originally from tropical and subtropical Americas, from Mexico to Argentina, where they grow epiphytically or terrestrially at varying altitudes.
Care
Thrives in bright, indirect light with some morning or evening sun. Water regularly, allowing the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Use well-draining orchid potting mix or mount cultivation. Ideal temperature 15-28°C. Fertilize every two weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer during the growing season.
Note: Due to limited documentation on this specific hybrid, care according to general guidelines for reed-stem Epidendrum orchids is recommended. Buy Epidendrum Ballerina online!
