Easy-to-grow South African carnivorous plant with glistening sticky tentacles

Drosera capensis, known as the Cape sundew, is a carnivorous plant from the Cape Province of South Africa and one of the easiest sundews to cultivate. Its long, narrow leaves are covered with sticky, glistening tentacles that trap insects, and the leaf then slowly curls around its prey. It readily produces pink flowers and self-seeds easily.

Care

Thrives in bright conditions with some direct sun. Use nutrient-poor substrate of sphagnum moss and perlite or sand; never use regular potting soil or fertilizer. Water only with distilled or rainwater and keep the pot in 1-2 centimeters of water constantly. Buy Drosera capensis online!

Shipping Policy

When buying live plants, transport can sometimes affect the condition of the plant. We strive to ensure that all plants arrive in good health, but minor shipping damage, such as a torn leaf or bent stem, is sometimes unavoidable. Read more about our policy here.
