The woolly ladybug, Cryptolaemus montrouzieri , is a specialized predatory insect that fights all types of woolly lice. It is often used in biological control on citrus trees and ornamental plants. Adult individuals are about 4 mm long, brown-black in colour.

Instructions for use

Place the jar near the infested plant and open carefully. For best effect, you can lay out the included paper strips on leaves near the aphids or use a brush to gently spread the ladybugs directly onto the plant. The adult ladybugs may initially be flighty, but putting them out in the dark can reduce their willingness to fly. Another option is to cover the plant with a fine net to ensure that the ladybugs stay put.

Storage

Use the ladybugs as soon as possible after delivery. If storage is necessary, keep them in the dark at 15-20°C for a maximum of two days. Buy farm animals online!
