Calathea 'White Fusion' has beautifully white-variegated leaves.

This new variety of Calathea is the product of an accidental discovery by inventor Taiyan Yam. The discovery that resulted in this new variegated variety was made in May 2007 at a commercial nursery in Malaysia.

Botanical description

Scientific name of the species is Goeppertia lietzei. White fusion is the result of a rare mutation bred into this variety.

Appearance.

The leaves are large and oval with a beautiful combination of white, green and grey shades creating a unique and elegant pattern. Calathea White Fusion grows as a compact, bushy plant and can reach a height of up to 60 cm in optimal conditions.

Care.

Plant Calathea White Fusion in a well-drained soil mix rich in organic matter, our peat-free soil mix with coco coir, perlite and worm castings. It thrives best in indirect light and requires high humidity to maintain its beautiful leaves.
