Small silvery and climbing plant, perfect for terrariums or moss piles

Philodendron 'Burle Marx Fantasy' is a climbing species with light green leaves with silvery hues and intricate networks of dark green veins that create an exceptionally beautiful pattern. This undescribed species was discovered climbing a tree in the garden of Roberto Burle-Marx, a rainforest activist and landscape architect, and has since become very popular as both a vivarium and pot plant.

The leaves can reach 25 centimeters in length in favorable conditions but remain considerably smaller in the vivarium, usually around 5-8 centimeters. The plant is slow growing and thrives best when given something to climb on, such as a moss stake or climbing frame.

Unlike many other philodendron species, this species prefers shadier conditions and does not seem to like being exposed to too much light. It grows well in shaded areas of terrariums and vivariums and makes a great addition to any size interior.

Thrives in high humidity with well-drained, humus-rich soil. Keep the soil slightly moist and avoid direct sun. Ideal temperature 18-26°C. Propagate by stem cuttings with at least one node.
