Begonia sp. 'Muara Wahau' är en sällsynt begonia från Muara Wahau-regionen i Östra Kalimantan, Indonesien. Arten är ännu inte formellt beskriven och går därför under sitt fyndortsnamn samt beteckningen U696, ett nummer som American Begonia Society tilldelar obeskrivna begoniaarter i odling.
Bladen är djupgröna och täckta av klart rosa prickar som bildar ett spräckligt mönster. Prickarnas intensitet skiftar något beroende på ljuset.
Skötsel
Trivs i halvskugga till skugga, undvik direkt sol. Kräver värme och hög luftfuktighet, gärna 70 procent eller mer, och odlas därför bäst i terrarium eller växtskåp.
Håll substratet jämnt fuktigt men aldrig blött. Använd ett luftigt, väldränerat substrat. Idealtemperatur 20-26 grader Celsius. Undvik att vattna direkt på bladen, som lätt får fläckar om de förblir våta. Gödsla sparsamt under växtsäsongen.
