Begonia sp. 'Mantuk' is a rare and captivating begonia species from the tropical forests of Sarawak in Borneo. It still lacks a formal scientific name and is known by this provisional name in cultivation.
The plant is known for its shimmering foliage with large, glossy green leaves with white dots that change color under different conditions. Depending on light and humidity, the leaves can appear in shades of green, black, or blue.
Care
Thrives in environments with high humidity, making it perfect for terrariums, plant cabinets, or spaces with humidifiers. Keep the soil evenly moist but well-drained.
Thrives in partial shade to shade with high humidity (70-80% or more). Use airy, well-drained soil. Ideal temperature 20-26 degrees Celsius. Fertilize sparingly during the growing season.
