Alocasia 'regal shields' är en hybrid mellan två väldigt olika arter och resultatet är slående. Växten blir stor, bladen djupt mörka och hjärtformade. Med rätt skötsel växer den snabbt till en vacker och dekorativ växt.
Botanisk beskrivning.
Växten är en hybrid mellan Alocasia odora (fröförälder) × Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet' (pollenförälder). LariAnn Garner (Aroidia Research) korsade arten år 2007.
Skötsel.
Plantera om växten i en kruka med generöst utrymme för rötterna. Jorden bör vara väldränerad, som t.ex. vår aroidjord.
