Easy-care and colorful houseplant
Aglaonema 'Lipstick' is a compact and colorful houseplant with striking pink to red petioles and leaf edges against green leaves. This easy-to-grow tropical plant reaches 30-45 centimeters in height and is perfect for beginners.
The leathery leaves are elongated with intense pink tones, giving the cultivar the name "Lipstick". Unlike many other houseplants, this species thrives in shady indoor conditions.
Botanical description
Aglaonema belongs to the Araceae family and is originally native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. 'Lipstick' is a modern cultivar developed for its decorative pink-red tones. In nature, Aglaonema grows on shady forest floors where it has developed the ability to cope with low light.
Care
Thrives in medium to low indirect light. Too much sun fades the colors, too little light reduces the pink coloration. Water when the top 2-3 centimeters of soil has dried out. Tolerates some drought but prefers even moisture without wet soil.
Use well-drained potting soil with perlite, like our aroid soil . Ideal temperature 18-24°C. Sensitive to cold below 15°C. Fertilize monthly during spring and summer. Buy Aglaonema lipstick pink online!
