What type of soil does Aglaonema need?

Preferably avoid direct sun, which can cause yellow leaves. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Too much water can lead to rot, i.e. that the roots rot, so one well-drained soil is essential. The best soil for a silver calla is an airy mixture. A potting soil works well, preferably with some perlite or orchid bark to improve drainage.
