Villous jasmine blooms during the winter and smells wonderful.

Jasmine is grown in Sweden as a houseplant and blooms profusely with white fragrant flowers. It can be placed outside in the summer but then brought inside in the fall and kept cool, which stimulates flowering.

Botanical description.

The natural range of the jasmine is from south-central China to Myanmar. It is a climbing plant that thrives in subtropical environments.

Care.

Never let the soil dry out. The plant thrives in direct sunlight and needs to be exposed to cold (12-18 degrees) to flower. It can be grown in hanging baskets or with a trellis to climb on.
