Syngonium wendlandii, a species with velvety green leaves.
The leaves are heart-shaped to oval with a pointed tip, dark green with silver or grey veins that give the leaves a beautiful pattern. The leaves are glossy and can grow up to 15-20 cm long and 10-15 cm wide. They have a distinct, almost metallic sheen.
Botanical Description
This beautiful Syngonium species comes from Costa Rica, where it grows in lowland rainforests at the base of large trees. The species is believed to be endangered in the wild but is relatively common as an ornamental plant.

Appearance.
Climbing or hanging, with long, flexible stems. The roots are epiphytic, which means they naturally grow on other plants without parasitizing. Can also grow as a bushy plant if supported.
The leaves are velvety and initially have a fresh green color that darkens over time, with a white pattern along the midrib. The white markings are very variable and can be more or less pronounced depending on the growth phase.
If it is given a support to climb on, this Syngonium will form much larger leaves. The shape also changes, it may have fewer, or no, white markings. Despite lacking markings, the leaves are still very beautiful and have a rather cool, three-part shape.
This species also tends to form many so-called "flagella." Long, leafless shoots, similar to those formed by strawberries.
Care.
Syngonium thrives in a well-drained soil, preferably an epiphyte mix with bark, perlite and sphagnum moss like our aroid soil. The plant prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid letting it stand in water. It is sensitive to drying out and low humidity.
Cuttings from stems are most common. Cuttings should have at least a couple of leaves and a node for best rooting. Can be rooted in water or directly in soil.
Syngonium Wendlandii is relatively easy to care for and its unique leaf pattern and flexible growth habit make it a rewarding plant. Syngonium Wendlandii is also known to be an excellent plant for beginners, as it is both hardy and easy to care for. Order Syngonium Wendlandii online!

Supersnygg planta – kom fram frisk och fin, och jag har inte haft några problem med att vänja den vid att bo hos mig.

i'm very happy with the plant, i checked out the roots as soon as it arrived (very healthy) and also separated the smaller plants to other pots. they are all doing well and i'm gonna give them some time to acclimate and get more used to my conditions here. they are still giving me new leaves and there is no sign of shock or sickness
oh, nice to hear! how is it going? send us some updates!:) / Alicja
