Easy-care fern with exceptional coloration
Adult specimens have beautiful simple pinnate leaves where the individual leaflets are wavy at the edge and strongly shiny on the upper side.
The center of each leaflet is light green to white, and in mature plants this white area becomes even larger so that only the leaf edge remains dark green. The leaves grow up to 50 centimeters long, about 30 centimeters wide, and are borne on petioles that can reach up to 50 centimeters in length.
Botanical description
Pteris parkeri, formerly known as Pteris cretica 'Albolineata', is now recognized as a separate species. Its natural range extends from southern Korea through central and southern Japan to central Taiwan. It grows as a perennial or lithophyte mainly in temperate biotopes.

The species is adapted to humid environments and thrives on rocky surfaces or in soil-based habitats with good access to moisture and indirect light.
Care
Always keep the soil slightly moist and place in a location with as high a humidity as possible and bright, indirect light. Due to the high humidity requirement, the plant tolerates only morning or evening sun. Bathrooms, grow cabinets or terrariums are therefore best suited for caring for this plant.
To increase humidity, the plant can also be sprayed regularly with distilled water. Use well-drained but moisture-retaining soil rich in organic matter. Ideal temperature 15-24°C.
Fertilize monthly during the growing season with a diluted fertilizer. Remove dead or damaged leaves regularly. Propagate by dividing the rhizome or by spores. Buy Pteris parkeri online!
