Rare Lime Yellow Variegated Monstera with Half-Moon Leaves, Fast-Growing and Easy to Care For
Monstera deliciosa 'Aurea', also known as Monstera 'Marmorata', is a variegated cultivar of the classic Monstera deliciosa with striking lemon and lime yellow variegation against dark green. The variegation occurs in similar patterns to Monstera Albo, with blocks and splashes of variegation and some leaves that are half-moon variegated, perfectly split with one half emerald green, the other yellowish.
This is a naturally occurring mutation of Monstera deliciosa that is considered rare and highly sought after among plant enthusiasts. The variegation can be unstable, making propagation challenging, and the intensity and pattern vary, making each plant unique.
Compared to common Monstera deliciosa, 'Aurea' tends to grow slightly more compactly. Despite its exotic appearance, it is relatively easy to care for and can thrive in a range of light conditions from low to bright light, although the variegation becomes more pronounced in brighter light. Fast-growing, especially with strong light and regular fertilization. Tolerates high humidity, making it perfect for bathrooms and kitchens.
Care
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Water when the soil has dried slightly. Provide climbing support such as a moss pole. Ideal temperature 20-26°C. Fertilize monthly during the growing season. Use well-draining soil, e.g., our aroid soil. Buy Monstera deliciosa Aurea online!
