Shimmering, metallic glossy leaves
In its natural habitat in the tropical forests of Borneo, Alocasia azlanii uses its dark leaves to capture the limited light that penetrates the dense canopy of the rainforest.
The leaves are heart-shaped and characterized by intense color shifts from deep purple to green, with distinct veins. The leaves can grow up to 20-25 cm long and have a glossy, almost metallic surface.
It is not the easiest plant to care for, but thrives very well in a plant cabinet or terrarium.
