Detect pests on houseplants to initiate early treatment.
[Important] Orders placed by Sunday evening will be shipped the following Monday/Tuesday.
Pests on indoor houseplants are not always preventable. Pests are as natural a part of growing plants as the plants themselves. However, severe infestations of common indoor pests such as thrips, spider mites, and aphids can sometimes have devastating consequences.
Fortunately, there are good methods for controlling indoor pests, which can be divided into different stages. Here you will find tools for early detection of pests, which can advantageously be combined with our beneficial insects. This creates effective protection against pests on your plants, and you avoid having to treat severe infestations.
NOTE! We do not sell, store, or order products from the beneficial insect category (including leaf shine) for the physical store.
1. Sticky Traps
Yellow sticky traps function as fly traps. Flying pests are attracted to the color, get stuck in the adhesive, and die. Yellow sticky traps are best used as a preventative measure against pests like thrips and fungus gnats. It's easy to see insects against the yellow background, and they can be inspected with the help of a magnifying glass. This way, you know which pest is present and can easily start treatment.
2. Magnifying Glass
A magnifying glass is a must for detecting pests and confidently identifying the small critters present on your houseplants.
3. Paraffin Oil Leaf Shine
This leaf shine is oil-based and gives your houseplants a healthy appearance while creating a protective surface on the leaves. This surface makes your plants less susceptible to insect pests.
