Combat thrips with beneficial animals and Montdorensis predatory mites work.
Thrips on plants are a common problem for both hobby and professional growers. This stubborn pest can cause damage to leaves, buds and flowers, making plants look tired and blotchy. But what do thrips actually look like? Thrips are small, slender insects that are often difficult to spot with the naked eye, they move quickly and often hide under leaves.
An effective way to combat thrips is to use beneficial insects, and one of the most reliable on the market is Montdorensis. You will receive packages that continuously release predatory mites onto the plants for 4-6 weeks. These mites, Transeius montdorensis, are voracious hunters that actively seek out and eat, among other things:
-
Eggs and larvae of whiteflies
-
Thrips larvae (stages 1 and 2)
-
Spider mites, broad mites and predatory mites
Why is Montdorensis so effective against thrips?
-
They survive both high temperatures and dry conditions, and they remain active even at low light levels.
-
The female moths remain in the crop even if there is a temporary lack of prey by eating pollen.
How the packaging works
Each package contains both beneficial insects and their food (bran and artificial prey). The mites reproduce in the bags and then migrate to the plants, providing consistent and long-lasting protection for up to six weeks.
For those who want to work preventively with care and biological control, this is a very smart and sustainable way to manage thrips and other pests. Buy Montdorensis predatory mites online!
