Like other rex begonias grown for their beautiful and colorful leaves, this houseplant is relatively easy to care for. This begonia has leaves with swirls of red, green, and white.
Botanical description
Begonia rex is a species from Myanmar and Bhutan. Begonia 'macarena' is a hybrid that highlights all the colors.
Care
Always keep the soil slightly moist. Begonias thrive in normal room temperature, if it gets too hot the leaves will dry out. Water from the bottom and avoid getting water on the leaves. Place the plant in a sheltered position away from direct sun but bright enough to be able to read a book next to the flower.
